TALKING STAR WARS
Star Wars: Dead Among the Living
Star Wars: Jedi Trials
So our theory of Jedi Master Jay making an appearance in Star Wars: Dead Among the Living has been confirmed. We find the old Bothan tending to some of the trees in the Forest Temple of Bondo III. Let me say that his opening seen was pretty cool. Readers get to understand what is going through his mind, and apparently, Master Jay is a bad to the bone, don't-wanna-mess-with-that-guy type of dude. Something else that is fascinating is that he so strong in the Force, that is is said he saw the dark times of Jedi coming years before it happened. If that is so, why wasn't anything said? Someone of Master Jay's reputation would surely be able to impact the decisions of the council to do something about Master Jay's feelings. Who knows, perhaps he did tell them, but led to no avail. Or maybe there is a chance that he never told the council for reasons I can't even comprehend. Here's was I do know, there are a ton of questions I could ask Zen Utaru about this mysterious Jay.
Moving on, so after that episode with Master Jay tree-hugging, we see three Jedi walk into the room after taking down a walker. (By the way, did anyone catch the Star Wars reference with Master Jay and the Walker? Master Jay turned around to see the Walker and said, "Hello there." L.O.L) Back to the subject, so the three Jedi I just barely recognized them from an episode from the first season. My thoughts were confirmed when I found these pics from the 14th chapter of season 1:
In the first pic, the first 2 Jedi and then the Jedi on the left are the three Jedi we see in the second chapter of season 2!
On the left is Mano Or'ra, the middle is Lao Rataka, and the right is Turbam Nellore.
So I am loving the appearance of another orange lightsaber-wielding Jedi, as we don't see many of them in the photonovels. Master Nellore intrigues me as well. A very unique and intriguing character as well as Lao. The three come to Master Jay, and it seems as though the four Jedi have been chilling in this Forest Temple for a while. My question is what happened to the other two Jedi in the pic. For those that don't remember, the "Hunter" that made his appearance in the second to last Chapter in season 1 called all Clone Troopers in a specified radius to a specified location. He did this as well as gathering all Jedi in the area as well. Turns out The Hunter had planned a second Order 66 type thing for survivors on Bondo III. Perhaps the other two Jedi were killed during the fight that had to have ensued...but what of Shredder the clone officer, and The Hunter himself? I guess we'll find out.
Let me also say that Zen Utaru's creativity for the Forest Temple is genius. For those that don't remember, the Forest Temple is another hot spot of the Force, so much so that whenever a Force sensitive being is born, so would a tree representing that person, as well as in death, both the being and the tree dies. Members of the Jedi also built replications of their light sabers and placed them near the trunk. This has been going on for thousands of years according to Jay.
Lastly, something jacked up is happening to the Screechers. Apparently they are evolving! Master Lao stated that some Screechers have lost their glowing eye thingy, as well as the fact that the only way to kill them is through fatal attacks to the head. Could this introduce different undead specimens in the future? We'll find out.
Thanks everyone for reading this section of Talking Star Wars, and as always, may the Force be with you!
